COLOCA el chocolate Abuelita, la leche evaporada y la leche condensada azúcarada en una cacerola mediana; calienta los ingredientes hasta que hiervan, revolviéndolos frecuentemente.

COLOCA las yemas en un tazón mediano. Mientras las bates, lentamente añade 1 taza de la mezcla del chocolate sobre las yemas. Vierte la mezcla de las yemas sobre la mezcla del chocolate. Cocínalas a fuego lento, revolviéndolas constantemente, hasta que la nueva mezcla se espese. Vierte la salsa en un tazón grande de vidrio; mantenlo tibio.

COLOCA las claras en un tazón grande para batir. Bátelas a punto de turrón. Añade lentamente azúcar en polvo y crema tártara; bate los ingredientes hasta que formen picos firmes.

VIERTE la mezcla de las claras con una cuchara o con una manga pastelera, usando una manga pastelera con una punta rizada. Sirve la salsa y las islas en tazones pequeños.

I did not prepare this recipe fully. I was looking for a recipe of Abuelita chocolate pudding and this seemed to nail it. I made the stuff called "sauce" by this recipe. I also added 1/8 teaspoon of cornstarch while I was mixing it in the final step. The cornstarch made it a bit thicker but not gelatinous when it was fully cooled. It was just right. :) Also, it yields about 4 cups of pudding. I highly recommend this "chocolate pudding" to be eaten as a dip with strawberries. YUM!
