When you need a nutritious snack to send with your kids, try these easy homemade cereal bars. They'll love the chocolate Nesquik, and you'll love the wholesome ingredients.
- ●Nonstick cooking spray
- ●1 cup creamy peanut butter
- ●1/3 cup honey
- ●1/4 cup NESTLÉ NESQUIK Chocolate Flavor Powder
- ●2 cups toasted rice cereal
- ●1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
- ●1/4 cup dried cranberries or raisins
Line 9-inch-square baking pan with foil, allowing a little overhang (this will make it easy to lift the bars from the pan). Spray with cooking spray.
Combine peanut butter, honey and Nesquik in large, microwave-safe bowl. Heat on HIGH (100%) power for 30 seconds, stirring until smooth. Add cereal, oats and cranberries. Gently toss together until completely coated.
Pour into prepared pan. With greased hands or a piece of parchment paper, press mixture evenly into prepared pan, using as much pressure as you can while keeping it as even as possible. Cover; refrigerate for 1 hour. Lift from pan using foil. Carefully peel foil away; cut into bars.
