PREHEAT oven to 350° F. Grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

FOR CRUST:
BEAT
flour, butter and brown sugar in small mixer bowl until crumbly. Press into prepared baking pan.

BAKE for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.

FOR FILLING:
BEAT
eggs, corn syrup, granulated sugar, butter and vanilla extract in medium bowl with wire whisk. Stir in chunks and nuts. Pour evenly over baked crust.

BAKE for 25 to 30 minutes or until set. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars.

As a person who's not fond of pecan pie, I didn't anticipate liking these (made them for family), but I loved them. Maybe it's the chocolate or the way it gets nice and crunchy on the edges, but they tasted fantastic and the texture was terrific. The edge ones were nice and chewy and the center ones were a little softer, more like traditional pecan pie. The addition of chocolate chunks made it a nice variation from just all corn syrup. They were also very, very easy to make.

I made these for Christmas. My kids loved them. These didn't last long.

I use to clean for a lady who made these. She has since passed away so now I make these and everyone just loves them.

This was a quick and easy recipe. I made it for my family and everyone loved them.

Makes for a nice treat. Crust is a little dry and needs more flavor but overall a big hit with the big people
