EL MEJOR NIDO
- These macaroons have only 5 ingredients and are so simple to make. Their golden color and chewy texture combined with the fact that they are delicious make them a perfect treat for any occasion.
- ●1 bag (14 ounces) flaked unsweetened coconut (about 5 1/3 to 6 cups)
- ●1 can (14 ounces) NESTLÉ LA LECHERA Sweetened Condensed Milk
- ●1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ●2 large egg whites
- ●1/2 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 350° F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Combine coconut, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract in large bowl; stir well until coconut is completely coated with sweetened condensed milk.
Beat egg whites and salt in medium bowl until medium-firm peaks form. Fold egg whites into coconut mixture. Drop by firmly packed level tablespoon onto prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10 to 14 minutes or until golden on bottom. Cool on baking sheets for 1 minute. Remove to wire racks to cool completely. Store in airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
