These roll ups are super easy to make and a delicious treat for hungry kids. A sweet creamy mix of apples, pecans and sweetened condensed milk fill a rolled out slice of whole wheat bread. Sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and baked, these will go so fast so you might want to make double!
Original reipce makes 2 dozen Change Servings
PREHEAT oven to 350° F.
MIX sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Set aside.
MIX apples, pecans and sweetened condensed milk in a medium bowl.
CUT crusts off bread. Using a rolling pin or glass, roll out the slices of bread to completely flatten them out.
DIVIDE apple mixture evenly among each slice of bread placing it towards the border of each slice. Roll bread and push down slightly so it does not open.
BRUSH each roll up with melted butter. Place seam side down on a large baking sheet.
SPRINKLE with cinnamon-sugar.
BAKE for 15 minutes or until slightly golden. Cool slightly before serving.
