Directions

MIX sugar, salt and spice in small bowl. Beat eggs in large bowl. Stir in pumpkin and sugar-spice mixture. Gradually stir in evaporated milk.

POUR into pie shell.

BAKE in preheated 425° F. oven for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350° F.; bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack for 2 hours. Serve immediately or refrigerate. Top with whipped cream.

I have used this recipe for over 40 years and is is my favorite. I simply will not use any other.

so easy so quick and so yummy. the mix turns out thinner than i thought- but baked just fine. very good flavor- not at all bland like most pumpkin pie recipes. I have already been TOLD to make this for the holidays.

I started making this pie 2 years ago. What a hit! Now I have to make it for every holiday. I don't think my family will let me in the door without it.

I have used this recipe for years, only I bake it about 10 - 15 minutes longer than the recipe's directions. I think it makes the best pumpkin pie.

When you make this pie it brings back all the memories of my mother and grandmother making pies and the family dinners. Plus it is delicious.

This is the old standard my mother taught me when I was first learning to cook. It is so easy, I use this one for my grandchildren to learn on!

I made 2 of these pies this year one for my husband to take to work and one for the inlaws. Both pies disappeared. It was easy to put together and delicious!
