SPOON dulce de leche into large bowl; stir in salt.
BEAT cream in large mixer bowl until stiff peaks form.
STIR small amount of whipped cream into dulce de leche mixture to lighten. Add remaining whipped cream to dulce de leche mixture and fold until combined.
TRANSFER mixture into freezer-safe container, smoothing down top. Cover with a piece of wax or parchment paper (this helps prevent ice crystals from forming); cover tightly and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight. Best enjoyed within 2 weeks.
