PREHEAT oven to 350° F.

REMOVE pear cores with a melon baller. Set aside.

COMBINE oatmeal, evaporated milk, water, dried fruit, cinnamon, salt and cloves in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to medium. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 8 minutes or until mixture starts to thicken.

POUR into 9-inch deep-dish pie plate. Place pear halves on top.

BAKE for 45 minutes or until set and pears are tender.

SERVE warm sprinkled with brown sugar or drizzled with maple syrup.
