Seasonal berries, including strawberries, are a perfect ingredient to use for homemade ice cream. Combined with evaporated milk, sugar and lemon juice, strawberries make the perfect hot weather treat.

I have always made strawberry ice cream using a cooked custard base until I saw this recipe. My goodness how easy itis to make. Few ingredients are needed and time is saved with this recipe. No one even noticed that I had made a different recipe so I will certainly make it more often. I used splenda instead of sugar and used low fat evaporated milk. A real winner with my family and friends. It is also delicious using peaches.

I made this ice cream on Sunday for my sisters birthday and everyone loved it. I got it from the backround picture, when I saw it I had to make it. EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!

This Ice cream was so very good and ever sooooo tasty. I think I will make some tomorrow night. Also Cherry is really good as this as well. we through in a few sliced cherries and choped walnuts. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

Delicately smooth and mild in flavor. Thank you for sharing.

I was in the mood to make ice cream. I began looking at your site and saw the recipe for Strawberrry Ice Cream. I had very few strawberries but I had two beautiful peaches. I also had a 12 ounce can of fat-free evaporated milk. I peeled the peaches, chopped them and pureed them in the blender. Added the remaining ingredients and blended. A little fat was needed so I added some creamer. I adjusted the sugar to taste. We loved it and will make it again.

Totally excellent! I made 4 different flavors and made a large ice cream cake with other recipes I got here. The crowd loved it!

Excellent and very easy to make, my family just loved it!! 5 stars!!
